There are no limits to expressing love and reverence in a Memorial service. A reading can be poetry, a biblical passage, or an original writing about the departed (encourage a loved one to write a poem, or passage).
Adding elements like specific biblical passages, or spiritual music is a beautiful way to honor and memorialize a loved one.
